ULTRASOUND

Much of our work requires good old fashioned detective work. For example, Inka came into our Veterinary Hospital presenting with sudden incontinence in the house and general malaise. A urinalysis determined that Inka was suffering from a urinary tract infection, but palpating the dog’s abdomen suggested something more.  An x-ray revealed a large mass in the bladder. And an ultrasound scan --
a safe, noninvasive, accurate and cost-effective diagnostic tool -- revealed that the mass was nothing more than a giant bladder stone.  The stone was removed through surgery and Inka went home, healthy and happy, to resume his comfortable life. See photos below.
